Internship

Do you want to get a first-hand look at your future career?

INTERNSHIP PROCEDURE

As an intern, your day starts normally at 08:00 and ends at 16:00. Our employees will be happy to show you everything that is important in the individual areas, and explain the processes to you and what skills are required. An internship at Hama gives you an advantage in your search for a future career, but it is not a prerequisite or guarantee for a future training position. After an internship, you will have gathered many new impressions and you will be one important step closer to deciding which qualified profession is right for you.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Are you interested in an internship spot at Hama? Then apply at the latest two months before the start of the internship using our online portal. Every year, we offer numerous internship opportunities for secondary school students.

AGE LIMITS

Due to German law, we cannot employ interns younger than 15 years old. This age limit does not apply for required internships organised by schools.

INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS

UP-CLOSE THEORY IN PRACTICE

An internship is the perfect opportunity to experience mere theory up close in varied practice. Most bachelor’s degree programmes require students to complete an internship as part of the curriculum. We offer the opportunity to complete a university internship in one of our specialised departments. Are you interested in an internship in the IT, business information systems or logistics areas? Then we are looking forward to your application!

Your apprenticeship is our future

Whether in the apprenticeship or cooperative degree: We plan for the long term with our young people. And naturally, behind our commitment, which also costs a lot in terms of time and money, there is a large slice of self-interest. Once the apprenticeship is complete, we know the varied roles in our company are in good and competent hands.

Ultimately, it is clear that everyone has learnt their job from the ground up, knows the processes in the company and has also established networks with other colleagues already. It is therefore not rare that former trainees and students become colleagues that oversee their own specialist areas, and often also take on management roles and utilise their experience in key positions. There are more than enough examples!

DISCOVER HAMA ON EXPERIENCE DAY

HAMA’S APPRENTICE EVENT

Our training event on April 20th attracted nearly 500 visitors in Monheim. The goal is to introduce Hama, an apprentice-training company, to young people so that they can become familiar with the 12 qualified professions and 9 degree paths at Hama. The visitors included several prospective students who received extensive advice from our own students, advisors and the degree program heads at DHBW. Additionally, numerous presentations on different, exciting training topics took place.

You will find a snapshot of Experience Day here:

DOING GREAT THINGS TOGETHER

... with this motto in mind, we are always on the lookout for enthusiastic young people who enjoy working in a team. Thanks to our pedagogical experience, we can give our apprentices and students valuable tips for their further development.
